Watlington Pubwalk.

Watlington is a market town  about 7 miles south of Thame in Oxfordshire. There are records of inns in Watlington since the 15th century. In 1722 the town's market was listed as being held on a Saturday. By the end of the 18th century the town had six inns, all of which were bought up in the next few years by a local brewing family, the Haywards. The number of licenced premises increased until late in the 19th century when George Wilkinson, a Methodist bought six of them and closed them down. Today Watlington has three public houses: the Carriers Arms, The Chequers  and The Fat Fox Inn

Turn right out of the Fat Fox and then right up HiLL Road.

Carriers, WatlingtonThe Carriers  Arms.

Hill Rd, Watlington OX49 5AD ‎  Free Wifi.
A freehouse, serving well kept full pints of popular ales, including regular brew Rev. James, at (for this area) surprisingly reasonable prices, great good value food. Try their Sunday roast! Open all day from 10am including Sundays! Play Aunt Sally.
Deservedly busy. Red kites circle over the car park. Unfortunately the wifi never works and they do not seem to care. The Fat Fox down the bottom has good reliable wifi.
Note the Church steeple carved in the hill in the distance, providing the illusion of  a steeple for a flat roofed church.  https://www.facebook.com/The-Carriers-Arms-595066880585809/
