Twyford is a village in the English Royal county of Berkshire with a population of about 7,000 people. It is in the Thames Valley on the A4 between Reading and Maidenhead, close to Henley-on-Thames and Wokingham. Distance 2.5 miles. Walking time 48 min.

Start from Twyford Station and turn right to reach the Golden Cross on your left. Or from Twyford centre walk down Church Street to bear right into Station Road and walk on to the Golden Cross.
Open from 12 noon all day. Upham Punter, Upham Sprinter Looks very nice with friendly staff.  Nice Garden.

Turn left out of the pub onto the A321 and turn next right into Springfield Park. Bear left to stay on Springfield Park. Turn left again at the "T" junction to Stay on Springfield Park. Turn right onto London Road then slight right into Ruscombe Road. The pub will be on your left.

Lovely old pub that leans to being a restaurant. Drinkers are welcome, however, and the pub has a lovely cottage style garden. London Pride, 2 changing beers. Free Wifi. Jenny Buratta, who owned Cobweb's Antiques in Henley-on-Thames, now runs a unique furniture, antiques and collectibles shop at Buratta's, open during restaurant hours.  The shop is a treasure trove of items, old and new, hand-picked by Jenny.

Turn right down Ruscombe road and continue slightly left down London Road across the crossroads into the High Street and to the Duke of Wellington on your left.

Continue in the same direction on the footpath to the left. Pass the small trading estate and then, just after the last building take the signposted footpath to the left. When you reach the road, turn left and continue with care, under the bridge, to the Lands End.
