Our walk starts from Beckenham Junction Station which you can reach from London Victoria using a railcard. The railcard will also cover your tramlink travel. From the station turn left passing a few shops and shortly cross the main road to turn right into the High Street. Walk down, passing the park and church to turn left into Bromley Road. Walk 2-3 blocks and passing Manor Road and Wickham road, walk on until you can turn right into Chancery Lane and see the Jolly Woodman up on the left. 12min

The current tram system has only been in operation since May 2000

Croydon Tramlink has 38 stops along 27 kilometres (17 mi) of track. The system currently has 24 Flexity Swif' trams and 6 Stadler Variobahn trams in operation.

The tram tracks around Croydon follow 3 main spurs to Beckenham Junction, Wimbledon and Addington, and includes a one-way loop going around Croydon Town Centre where the trams arrive roughly every 1 to 6 minutes.

Take a tram to Woodside.
Walk up to the old station in Spring Road and turn right. Turn right into Lower Addiscombe Road. Next at the traffic lights turn left into Shirley Road A215. The Cricketers will be on your left 10min.

Take the Bingham road that is opposite the pub and follow it to the end, crossing our tramway. Turn right into Lower Addiscombe Road, the Claret is on the right, 10mins

Turn right out of the pub and take the tram from the adjoining tram stop to George Street. Alight in George Street and walk back a few yards to the George.

Take a Wimbledon tram to Morden Road. Walk up Morden Road and turn left. Walk past the Prince of Wales and shortly cross the road at the crossing. Walk on to cross Merantun Way and if open you can turn immediately right into the park. Exit at the end into High Path and continue right. If the park is closed just continue straight on and turn right into High Path. The Trafalgar is a short walk on your left.
