Lechlade-on-Thames, is a town at the southern edge of the Cotswolds in Gloucestershire, England. It is the highest point at which the River Thames is navigable. The town is named after the River Leach that joins the Thames near The Trout Inn. The town is a popular venue for tourism and river-based activities. There are several pubs, some antique shops, a convenience store, food outlets, a garden centre and a Christmas shop.

A nice pub in lovely surroundings with a large car park.  Music in the bar was being played at an ear shattering disco volume at 11am! Best to sit outside in the gardens if weather permits.

Turn left out of the front of the pub and walk up to the town centre. You will see the Crown Inn across the road.

Retrace your steps to the Market Place and in the corner is the Library and the Church. Take the footpath to the left of the church and walk about 10 minutes to the Farringdon road. The Trout will be to your right.
