Henley on Thames- walk 1, the market place
This walk takes you to five pubs and a brewery in the market place at Henley.

Three Tuns HenleyStart at the Three Tuns pub. 5 Market Place, RG9 2AA.
Open all day from Tues - Fri: 11.30am Sat - Sun: 11.00am - 12.00am Sun: 11.00am
Food served Tues - Sat: 12.00pm - 3.00pm; 6.00pm - 9.45pm  Sun: 12.00pm - 4.00pm
There is a small bar at the front of the pub and dining areas at the rear.

Turn left out of the pub to the Argyll, a few doors along.

The Argyll

Argyll, Henley15 Market Place,  RG9 2AA Open daily 11am, Sunday noon.
The Argyll is a popular destination pub for Midsomer Murders tours. Two episodes of the poplular TV detective series were filmed in the pub.The building dates back to the 17th century. Greene king range of beers. Click the picture for the gallery and to comment.


Turn left out of the Argyll and left again down to the car park. Keep to the left and the brewery is at the rear of 19 - 21 Market Place.

Lovibonds BreweryNext is Lovibonds Brewery.

Rear of 19-21 Market Place, RG9 2AA  Open Fri 4pm, Sat 11am and Sunday at noon.
Lovibonds Brewery was founded in Henley in 2005, with a passion for making great craft beer. Brewing takes place on the Old Luxters Brewery plant , 5 miles from Henley-on-Thames. Only test brewing takes place in Henley. Beers are  available bottled or in mini kegs. Click the picture for the gallery and to comment.


Return to the Market Place and turn left to go to the rear of the Town Hall. You will see the Victoria pub.

The Queen Victoria

Queen Victoria, Henley 48 Market Place,  RG9 2AG.  Open all day from noon. Down to earth sort of place, friendly and welcoming staff and some good ales. Food is mainly pies, at a very reasonable price.

As you leave the Queen Victoria you will see the Brewhouse across the road to your left.

Brewhouse, HenleyThe Station House.(formerly Henley Brew House)

38, Market Place,  RG9 2AH.  Open from noon. Food served lunch and evening.
Housed in what was formerly a Victorian police station. Formerly the Brew House, it was sold to Brakspears and re-opened on Nov 13th 2014 as the Station House following refurbishment (to remove the brewery). Our pictures are still of the Brewhouse.

Cross the road to walk up West Street to the Rowbarge.

The Rowbarge

Rowbarge, Henley37 West Street   RG9 2ED  Open  from noon, closes 3pm - 5:30pm Mon-Thur.
One of Henley’s oldest coaching inns with 4 en-suite bedrooms. Food is served lunchtime and evening except Mondays.  Sunday roast 1pm - 3pm, booking advisable.
