Eton is a town and civil parish in Berkshire, England, lying on the opposite bank of the River Thames to Windsor and connected to it by Windsor Bridge. Eton was in Buckinghamshire until 1974, when it was transferred to Berkshire. It is a lovely place and worth a visit any time of year. Distance 0.4 miles, walk time 8 mins.

Turn left out of the pub and walk up the high street to the Crown and Cushion on your left.

Largish bar with a snug and dining room off it. Clever American theme decor. A lively locals pub, food is served 12pm-9pm Monday - Saturday and 12pm-6pm on Sundays.

Turn left out of the pub to the Henry VI across the road.

37 High St, Eton,  SL4 6BD Open all day from noon.
Henry VI was the founder of Eton College, further along the road. Modern style traditional decor in white and grey. Some ales including a well kept Doombar. Food expensive but looked good and was popular.
